Softball Recap: Crismon Extends Home Winning Streak to 13

Crismon made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Combs, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Crismon put the hurt on Combs with a sharp 21-1 win on Monday. Considering the Rattlers have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Jaylie Tuturow made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Skylar DaCosta, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sophia Salvidar, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Crismon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .619. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Crismon's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Combs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Crismon will have a chance to go back-to-back against Combs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
