Basketball Recap: Shenandoah Skates Past Paden City with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Shenandoah over Paden City in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Shenandoah Zeps blew the Paden City Wildcats out of the water with a 65-11 final score. The Zeps have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Shenandoah found their leader in sophomore Emily Moore, who posted 13 points in addition to six steals and five assists. Moore has been hot, having posted four or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brenna Leach, who put up 15 points.

Shenandoah's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-3. As for Paden City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Shenandoah will host Frontier at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Paden City, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Union at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Paden City is facing Union at the right time seeing as Union is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
