Basketball Recap: Rancho Starts Season with Win at Home

Rancho gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They breezed by the Valley Vikings to the tune of 87-47. With the Rams ahead 62-28 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Jakoi Lide went supernova for Rancho, going 22 for 35 on his way to 59 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. That's the most boards Lide has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmad Koroma, who posted 11 points, to go along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Rancho wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 75-48 victory against Las Vegas on the 3rd. As for Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 80-65 loss against Canyon Springs on the 3rd.
