Rutherford was handed a 27-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 win over the Arnold Marlins. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Marlins back in December of 2025, they had to take a 62-61 defeat.

Quintin Grady was the offensive standout of the contest as he posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jaydan Jemison, who earned nine points.

Rutherford's record is now 5-8. As for Arnold, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.

Rutherford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-33 loss against South Walton on the 16th. As for Arnold, they have also already played their next game, a 72-64 defeat against Poplar Springs on the 15th.
