Softball Recap: Spanaway Lake Comes Up Short

Spanaway Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-1 to the Rogers Rams. If the Sentinels were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Rams when the teams met back in April of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Spanaway Lake's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Rogers, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spanaway Lake will venture away from home to face off against Franklin Pierce at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sentinels will need to watch out since the Cardinals have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Rogers, they will head out to take on Sumner at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
