Volleyball Recap: Mia Graziano Key Part of Team Effort in T-Birds Win

Connetquot won the last time they faced North Babylon and things went their way on Monday too. The T-Birds were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Connetquot took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-11, 25-11.

Connetquot's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mia Graziano, who had five aces and four digs. Those five aces gave Graziano a new career-high. Gisele Trzaskalski was another key player, hitting 83.3% for five kills and 12 aces and five assists.

They weren't the only good server: Connetquot was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 33 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Connetquot's record is now 6-0.

Looking ahead, Connetquot will challenge Copiague at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Babylon, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Newfield at 4:00 p.m. on the 26th.
