Soccer Game Preview: Cedar vs. Crimson Cliffs

Cedar is 1-8 against Crimson Cliffs since March of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Cedar will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they takes on Crimson Cliffs at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Crimson Cliffs better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Cedar's game on Friday is any indication, that's when Cedar really gets things going. Cedar never let Hurricane get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Cedar haven't had any issues with Hurricane recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Crimson Cliffs waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Crimson Cliffs were the better team in the second half.

Ezekiel Weir and Austin Lyman scored both of Crimson Cliffs' goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Crimson Cliffs' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Cedar, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Cedar suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Crimson Cliffs in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Cedar avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
