Volleyball Recap: Leyton Comes Up Short

Leyton was the 2-0 winner over Sandhills/Thedford when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights on Saturday.

Macey Roelle paced Leyton's offense, picking up four kills. Roelle got some help from Auvi Cranmore and her four assists.

Grace Johnston was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had four digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Leyton has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Sandhills/Thedford, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-3.

Leyton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Hyannis on the 4th. As for Sandhills/Thedford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Sutherland on the 7th.
