Basketball Game Preview: Taylor Yellowjackets vs. Indian Hill Braves

The Taylor Yellowjackets will venture away from home to take on the Indian Hill Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Taylor is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

Taylor is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Reading: they outscored them in every quarter. Taylor put the hurt on Reading with a sharp 63-42 win on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Indian Hill played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Wyoming, falling 67-42. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Cowboys are ranked 26th).

Taylor pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points over those games. As for Indian Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.

Taylor was able to grind out a solid win over Indian Hill in their previous matchup back in January, winning 61-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Taylor since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
