Baseball Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short

Villa Grove hit Heritage with a five-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hawks came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 9-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost five in a row.

Heritage saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Happ, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Heritage's record now sits at 5-13. As for Villa Grove, they moved to 6-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
