Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Comes Up Short

St. Joseph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 35-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saint Mary's Hall Barons. The Flyers lost against the Barons in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 61-28 score last time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Saint Mary's Hall to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adah Sayeed, who posted 11 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Genesis Edwards Johnson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

St. Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Saint Mary's Hall, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph has already played their next contest (against St. Joseph Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Saint Mary's Hall has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against San Antonio Christian.
