Basketball Recap: Barbers Hill Comes Up Short

Barbers Hill lost against Beaumont United back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Barbers Hill Eagles took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beaumont United Timberwolves. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Beaumont United's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ephriam Moore, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance gave Moore a new career-high in boards. Ashton Green was another key player, putting up 15 points and five rebounds.

Barbers Hill's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 15-7. As for Beaumont United, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Barbers Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-48 win against Port Neches-Groves on the 7th. As for Beaumont United, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 84-40 victory against Lee on the 7th.
