Basketball Recap: Hardin Northern Comes Up Short

Hardin Northern lost against Perry back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hardin Northern Polar Bears took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Perry Commodores. The Polar Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Hardin Northern still got an impressive performance from Xander Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. Wilson's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Christian Rostorfer, who posted eight points.

Hardin Northern's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-8. As for Perry, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-11.

Hardin Northern has already played their next match, a 44-41 loss against Ada on the 18th. As for Perry, they will welcome Van Buren at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
