Basketball Game Preview: Ouray Trojans vs. Ridgway Demons

The Ouray Trojans will challenge the Ridgway Demons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Ouray is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They took a 66-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Telluride. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (57), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Ridgway was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 58-57 to Olathe. The Demons have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Ridgway's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Ouray, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Ouray was able to grind out a solid win over Ridgway in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 52-44. Will Ouray repeat their success, or does Ridgway have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
