After a string of seven wins, Currituck County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the First Flight Nighthawks by a score of 3-2. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Nighthawks earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Currituck County took First Flight into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 24-26, 22-25, 25-22, 15-10.

Currituck County's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 13-12. As for First Flight, they pushed their record up to 15-10 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

As of now, neither Currituck County nor the Nighthawks have any future games scheduled.
