Softball Recap: Immaculata's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gill St. Bernard's, Immaculata was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Robbinsville Ravens a 1-0 shutout. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Spartans as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The result came thanks to Maddie Falvey's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Robbinsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Coming up, Immaculata will head out on the road to square off against Morris Knolls at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Robbinsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nottingham at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
