It was fun while it lasted, but First Baptist Christian's undefeated season came to an end after six games on Tuesday. They fell to the Open Door Christian Patriots 36-31. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Sabres came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Patriots are ranked 663rd).

Having lost for the first time this season, First Baptist Christian fell to 6-1. As for Open Door Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

First Baptist Christian will head out on the road to square off against Christian Community at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
