Recap: Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Rocky Mount Academy Eagles
If the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders were riding high off their 46-17 takedown of the Faith Christian Patriots on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Harrells Christian Academy was outmatched by Rocky Mount Academy at home and fell 61-31. Harrells Christian Academy has not had much luck with Rocky Mount Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Leading Rocky Mount Academy to victory were Isabella Daza and Taylor Carmichael. Daza scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Carmichael scored 27 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carmichael has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessica Proctor, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Harrells Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Rocky Mount Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrells Christian Academy will take on Faith Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Christian and Harrells Christian Academy are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Rocky Mount Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Christ Covenant at 6:00 p.m. Christ Covenant is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
