Softball Recap: Central Valley Christian Comes Up Short

Central Valley Christian extended their losing streak to eight on Friday, dropping their season record down to 3-11 in the process. They came up short against the Exeter Monarchs, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Monarchs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-13 back in April.

As for Exeter, their record now sits at 15-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the game before.

For Exeter's part, Taylor Brandt was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Lanie Uruchurtu, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Central Valley Christian has already played their next matchup, a 14-2 loss against Washington Union on the 6th. As for Exeter, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Reedley on the 6th.
