Basketball Recap: Clearfield Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Clearfield won the last time they faced Bonneville and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Clearfield Falcons put the hurt on the Bonneville Lakers with a sharp 53-32 victory. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clearfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isabelle Wyaskett, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Wyaskett has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brighton Bernards, who earned nine points.

Clearfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Bonneville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Baya Jimenez dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Clearfield's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. As for Bonneville, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Clearfield has already played their next contest (against Woods Cross), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bonneville has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Roy.
