Harmony came tearing into Friday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Viera Hawks. The Longhorns have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hawks, too.

Ismael Rivera tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Harmony's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jadiel Perez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Harmony pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Viera, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harmony will square off against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harmony is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Viera, they will face off against Seabreeze at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Viera also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 6.7 runs per game.
