Elyria has gone 9-1 against Lorain recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Pioneers will challenge the Titans at 11:00 a.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Friday, Elyria came up short against Lakewood and fell 8-3.

Elyria saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cody Stipe, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Landon Wissinger also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Lorain lost 11-3 to Lutheran West on Thursday.

Elyria's record is now 1-3. As for Lorain, their record now sits at 0-3.

Elyria took their victory against Lorain when the teams last played back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
