Football Recap: Greenbrier Comes Up Short

Greenbrier fell victim to Macon County and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 7-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Tigers are ranked 38th).

Greenbrier now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Macon County, the victory (which was their 14th in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Greenbrier will head out on the road to challenge Whites Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Cobras have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Macon County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trousdale County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
