            Softball Recap: Half Moon Bay Cougars vs. South San Francisco Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Half Moon Bay had lost seven straight on the road, but  on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 6-11 to make it eight. They fell  13-8 to the South San Francisco Warriors. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2024.
  Mia Modena was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI.  Miranda Sarabia was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
As for South San Francisco, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record  this season. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for they.
On South San Francisco's side,  Sydney Semans made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit over four innings pitched. Semans has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-5 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Madyson Jade Quintanilla was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Keira Crutchfield, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Half Moon Bay didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  15-1  defeat against Terra Nova on the 25th. As for South San Francisco, they have also already played their next contest,  a  6-0  win against Balboa on the 25th.
