Preview: Middle Early College Kats vs. International Prep at Grover Presidents
Middle Early College is 7-2 against International Prep at Grover since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Middle Early College Kats will head out on the road to take on the International Prep at Grover Presidents at 6:00 p.m. Middle Early College is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Back in December of 2023, Middle Early College humbled East with a 81-49 victory. The victory was just what Middle Early College needed coming off of a 65-35 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to International Prep at Grover, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They were dealt a 88-44 defeat at the hands of Health Sciences Charter on Friday. While losing is never fun, International Prep at Grover can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 848th, while Health Sciences Charter is ranked 175th).
Middle Early College's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for International Prep at Grover, they have fallen quite a ways from their 15-7 record last season and are now at 0-6.
Middle Early College and International Prep at Grover were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but Middle Early College came up empty-handed after a 50-49 loss. Can Middle Early College avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
