They strolled past Van Wert with points to spare, taking the game 42-27. Given Wayne Trace's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Van Wert is ranked 519th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Van Wert still got an impressive performance from Kendra Deehring , who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Wayne Trace has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Van Wert, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Fort Jennings is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Van Wert, they will stay at home for another game and welcome St. John's at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. St. John's has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
