Volleyball Recap: Herington Takes a Loss

Herington lost against Bennington back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Railroaders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-14.

Bennington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marley Rodenbeek led the charge by getting 11 assists and three aces. That's the most aces Rodenbeek has posted over her last ten matches.

Herington has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-22 record this season. As for Bennington, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 31-7.

Herington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Sedgwick on the 20th. As for Bennington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Sacred Heart on the 20th.
