Basketball Game Preview: Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers vs. Batavia Bulldogs

The Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Batavia Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheaton-Warrenville South is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Wheaton-Warrenville South will head into Saturday's match hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 24) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Dunlap 53-51. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Eagles are ranked 244th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Batavia had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Glenbard North by a score of 50-37 on Saturday.

Wheaton-Warrenville South has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Batavia, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Wheaton-Warrenville South ended up a good deal behind Batavia in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, losing 58-44. Can Wheaton-Warrenville South avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
