Volleyball Recap: Sunset Knights vs. Braddock Bulldogs
Sunset was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Braddock Bulldogs. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
While Sunset ultimately came up short, they really made Braddock work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 26-24.
Uziel Chaparro paced Sunset's offense, picking up ten kills. Chaparro really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 16. Finally, Oscar Sanchez kept Sunset's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
Daniel Fleitas was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 14 digs and one assist. That's the most digs he has posted over his last 11 matchups.
Sunset's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Braddock, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
Sunset wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Ferguson on the 10th. As for Braddock, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Palmetto on the 14th.
