Basketball Game Preview: Kirby Cougars vs. Covington Chargers

The Kirby Cougars will face off against the Covington Chargers on Tuesday. Kirby knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 28 games -- so hopefully Covington likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Kirby earned a 68-57 win over Millington Central.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Covington beat Power Center Academy 60-56 on Saturday.

Covington is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. Kirby's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-9.
