Basketball Recap: New London Falls Short of Colonel Crawford in the Playoffs

New London and Colonel Crawford squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but New London had to settle for second. They took a 37-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colonel Crawford Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

New London's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Colonel Crawford, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-2.

New London does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Colonel Crawford, they will take on Margaretta at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Margaretta has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
