             Billings West entered their  match against Gallatin  on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The  contest between the Billings West Golden Bears and the Gallatin Raptors wasn't particularly close, with the Billings West Golden Bears falling  39-21. It was the first time  this season that the Golden Bears let down their fans at home.
 Several Golden Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Malachi Claunch, who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown. Those 115  rushing yards gave  Claunch a new career-high. Another pass catcher making a difference was  Elias Bonner, who picked up 104 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Gallatin's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Carter Dahlke, who picked up 102 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 49 yards. Dahlke also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles and defending two passes.  Reese Dahlke was another key player, rushing for 190 yards and a touchdown.
 Billings West's defeat  ended  an  eight-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 7-1. As for Gallatin, the  win for them keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
 Billings West will venture away from home to  face off against Belgrade  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Billings West is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Gallatin, they will face off against Skyview at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Gallatin's favor is that they have posted at least 31  points  every time they've taken the field this season.
