There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. A special shoutout goes to Troup County's junior Kobe Hudson, who scored seven total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.

The MaxPreps rankings indicated that Thomasville would come out the decided victor last week, and the rankings were spot on. It breezed past Cook with a final score of 49 - 20. Thomasville found its leader in an underclassman: Chad Mascoe || tossed the ball for 269 yards and three TDs, which was enough to make him one of the team's best players. The win also thrust Thomasville into the power rankings, where the team now holds the 21st spot.
Can't Touch This
Lowndes got a 71 - 35 win over Valdosta last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Travis Tisdale. Tisdale ran for 414 yards and also punched in six touchdowns. That performance made Tisdale one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of last week's main attractions was the confrontation between Colquitt County and Grayson, 1st and 6th in the power rankings, respectively. Colquitt County took its game by a score of 26 - 14. Senior Ty Leggett deserves a lot of the credit as he earned two touchdowns and 139 yards rushing the ball.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Parkview (5th in the MaxPreps state rankings) and Norcross (46th). This will be the second home game in a row for Parkview. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both it and Norcross put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they play one another this week.
