Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cypress Christian walked away with it. They blew past the Second Baptist Eagles 3-0 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won five matchups in a row.

While Cypress Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-5, 25-23.

Leading Cypress Christian to victory were ISABELLA THOMAS and RAQUEL HERNANDEZ-RODRIGUEZ. THOMAS had five digs and two aces, while HERNANDEZ-RODRIGUEZ had 15 digs and one assist. That's the most digs HERNANDEZ-RODRIGUEZ has posted since back in October.

They weren't the only good servers: Cypress Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 13 consecutive matches.

Cypress Christian's win bumped their record up to 23-13-1. As for Second Baptist, they dropped their record down to 10-14 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Cypress Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Fort Bend Christian Academy on the 7th. Second Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
