Baseball Preview: McClain Tigers vs. Western Brown Broncos        
        
		
            The McClain Tigers will venture away from home to  face off against the Western Brown Broncos  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. McClain's hitters haven't  had much luck over their past three  contests, but Thursday's   matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.
Unioto hit McClain with a four-run third inning  on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost  7-0 to the Shermans.
 McClain saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Landen McNeal, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  double. That  hit was  McNeal's first of the season.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Western Brown). They were the clear victors by  a  14-1 margin over Clermont Northeastern on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Broncos needed considering they were shut out in their previous   game.
 Aiden Jetter was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with four  runs and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Carter Saylor was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with three  runs, two  doubles,  and one  RBI. He has become a key player for Western Brown: the team is 3-1 when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 4-6 otherwise.  William Stewart was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with three  runs.
 Western Brown  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clermont Northeastern only posted  an  OBP of  .316.
 The  win  got Western Brown back to even at 7-7. As for McClain, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.
