Softball Game Preview: Denham Springs Yellowjackets vs. Walker Wildcats

Denham Springs is 1-9 against Walker since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets will head out on the road to face off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Denham Springs has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Denham Springs is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Parkview Baptist, falling 13-1.

Meanwhile, Walker faced Dutchtown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats lost 8-1 to the Griffins. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Walker's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7. As for Denham Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 8-17.

Denham Springs couldn't quite get it done against Walker in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 9-5. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
