Softball Recap: New Berlin West Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

New Berlin West had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 11-1 to the Brookfield Central Lancers on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

New Berlin West saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Serena Klein, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Brookfield Central's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Berlin West will take on Pewaukee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Brookfield Central, they will square off against Wauwatosa East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
