Baseball Recap: Williamstown Comes Up Short

Williamstown was the 15-2 winner over Robert C. Byrd when they last played one another back in May of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Eagles on Saturday, falling 13-7.

Williamstown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Robert C. Byrd, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Williamstown will host Charleston Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Irish will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Yellowjackets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Robert C. Byrd, they are taking a road trip to square off against Fairmont Senior at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
