Baseball Recap: Granada Gets the Win

Granada hadn't done well against Cheyenne Wells recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bobcats came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 16-13. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Tigers on Tuesday, they had to take a 9-8 defeat.

Granada got a massive performance out of Adam Hainer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave Hainer a new career-high. Edgurr Morales was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

The win got Granada back to even at 1-1. As for Cheyenne Wells, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Granada will square off against rival Wiley at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cheyenne Wells is set to face off against their familiar foe Springfield at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
