Football Recap: Pleasant Grove Takes a Loss

Pleasant Grove came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 50-7 loss at the hands of the Orem Tigers. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

Connor Ybarra threw for 107 yards on 12 of 18 attempts. Adam Wright was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards.

Kaue Akana was nothing short of spectacular for Orem: he picked up 80 receiving yards and two TDs.

Pleasant Grove's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Orem, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Pleasant Grove wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 19-7 defeat against Timpview on the 9th. As for Orem, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-0 victory against Payson on the 9th.
