Soccer Game Preview: Canton vs. Grenada

After a short break, it's finally time for some more action. The Canton Tigers will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against the Grenada Chargers at 5:30 p.m. Canton's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 11 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Canton's offense. They lost 8-0 to Cleveland Central two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Grenada made sure to put some goals up on the board against Olive Branch two weeks ago. They were the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over the Conquistadors. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by three goals or more this season.

Grenada's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three contests. As for Canton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.
