Softball Recap: Desert Heights Prep Comes Up Short

Desert Heights Prep came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Ray Bearcats, falling 18-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Yote were not able to get on the board.

Desert Heights Prep's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Ray, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert Heights Prep will take on Bagdad at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ray, they will challenge Hayden at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hayden has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.91 runs per game on average), something Ray will no doubt try to take advantage of.
