Soccer Game Preview: North Lenoir vs. East Duplin

North Lenoir hasn't had much luck against East Duplin recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m.

North Lenoir is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Wallace-Rose Hill, falling 3-0. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but North Lenoir couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, East Duplin waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 2-0 shutout. That's two games straight that East Duplin have won by exactly two goals.

East Duplin now has a winning record of 8-7-2. As for North Lenoir, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1.

North Lenoir suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to East Duplin in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
