Football Recap: Scappoose Beats Tillamook for Their Fourth Straight Win + How To Watch

Scappoose waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 39-28 win over the Tillamook Cheesemakers. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cheesemakers, too.

Elijah Greenan Biggs was his usual excellent self, rushing for 252 yards and four scores. Those 252 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Scappoose was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 331 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Scappoose's defense stepped up as well, laying out Gabriel Torres three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jake Meeuwsen.

Torres and Carson Remington certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Torres threw for 236 yards and three touchdowns, while Remington picked up 48 receiving yards and one TD.

Scappoose's record now sits at 6-1. As for Tillamook, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.

Scappoose and Tillamook should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. The Indians will square off against Astoria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (29 vs. 91). Meanwhile, Tillamook (ranked 37th) will meet Gladstone/Riverdale (ranked 137th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
