Volleyball Recap: Marlboro County Takes a Loss

Marlboro County extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Wednesday, dropping them down to 0-5. They came up short against the Cheraw Braves, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Monday.

As for Cheraw, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since August 24, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Londyn Driggers went supernova, getting 14 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last eight matches.

Looking ahead, Marlboro County will take on Waccamaw at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cheraw, they will square off against Cardinal Newman at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
