Boulder City won the last time they faced Valley, and Makayla Nelson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Boulder City Eagles took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 52-22 win over the Valley Vikings thanks in part to Nelson, who threw for 197 yards and eight touchdowns, and also rushed for 38 yards. Those eight passing touchdowns gave her a new career-high.
Sancha Jenas-Keogh did her part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 88 receiving yards. She showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 60 yards.
The victory made it two in a row for Boulder City and bumps their season record up to 7-1. As for Valley, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Western the next time they take the field. Boulder City will host Western at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while Valley will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on January 17th.
