Basketball Game Preview: Sage Ridge Scorpions vs. Pyramid Lake Lakers

Sage Ridge is 0-10 against Pyramid Lake since January of 2019 but things could change on Saturday. The Sage Ridge Scorpions will take on the Pyramid Lake Lakers at 1:00 p.m.

On Friday, Sage Ridge was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 42-41 to Smith Valley.

Meanwhile, Pyramid Lake entered their tilt with Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage on Wednesday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They really took it to the Rams for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-15 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 56-7.

Pyramid Lake's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.0 points per game. As for Sage Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Sage Ridge was taken down by Pyramid Lake 73-35 in their previous meeting back in January. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Sage Ridge was down 43-16.
