Softball Recap: Niles West Has No Trouble Against Depaul College Prep

Niles West won the last time they faced DePaul College Prep and things went their way on Wednesday too. Niles West was the clear victor by a 10-4 margin over DePaul College Prep.

Sam Torres spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Lexi Kuffel was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Kolbe, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

The victory got Niles West back to even at 1-1. As for DePaul College Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Niles West will challenge New Trier at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DePaul College Prep, they will take on St. Francis at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
