Softball Recap: Hancock County Hornets vs. Owensboro Red Devils
Hancock County won the last time they faced Owensboro and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Hornets had just enough and edged out the Red Devils 3-1.
Ryleigh French was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
In other batting news, Audrey Carnes was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.
