Football Game Preview: Reagan Bison vs. Varela Vipers

The Reagan Bison will challenge the Varela Vipers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Reagan 7, Varela 10.5) so any points scored will be well earned.

Reagan's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Coral Park, posting a 34-0 victory. That looming 34-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bison yet this season.

Meanwhile, Varela fell victim to Coral Reef and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were beaten by the Barracudas 30-0. The Vipers haven't had much luck with the Barracudas recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Having lost for the first time this season, Varela fell to 3-1. As for Reagan, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.

Reagan was able to grind out a solid victory over Varela when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 29-22. Will the Bison repeat their success, or do the Vipers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
